Viking Challenge

The Viking Challenge

Created in 1995, the Viking Challenge is a charity off-road bike event raising funds for Redmile C of E Primary School and a chosen charity partner. The event is open to everyone, young and old, teams and individuals, both serious and fun cyclists – and Vikings! The combination of the serious physical challenge with our warm hospitality has proven to be a winning formula; with riders and volunteers coming back year after year.

Taking in the fabulous Vale of Belvoir countryside riders have access to a route not usually accessible to the general public and with lots of well-stocked refuelling stops along the way – our cakes are almost as famous as the challenge itself – it really is a unique cycling experience.

How can you help?

For the first time, we have had to cancel the Viking Challenge and therefore our fundraising for the school has changed. We have produced a limited edition ‘Lockdown 2020’ special t-shirt, as well as offering bike numbers and certificates to those who cycle their own virtual VC. The event is entirely run by volunteers and we thank you all for your support.

Donating to The Giving Wall

Here’s how it works. Each Giving Wall ticket is numbered from 1 to 200. When you purchase a ticket you donate the number on the ticket in £ value. So if you choose ticket 25, you donate £25, ticket 1 you donate £1 and ticket 200 you donate £200 etc…
